Interpersonal Therapy provides evidence-based counselling and EMDR therapy for adults, adolescents and children experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, stress and other life challenges. Based in Caringbah, Anthony Colantuono is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker offering compassionate, trauma-informed support to clients throughout the Sutherland Shire, Sydney and across Australia via Telehealth.
Anthony has extensive experience supporting individuals affected by childhood trauma, PTSD, anxiety disorders, depression, relationship difficulties, emotional regulation challenges and major life transitions. Therapy is tailored to each person's unique circumstances, drawing on evidence-based approaches including EMDR, focused psychological strategies and strengths-based interventions.
Medicare rebates may be available through a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP, making professional counselling more accessible and affordable. Appointments are available both in person and online, providing flexibility and support wherever you are located.
Whether you are seeking an EMDR therapist in Sydney, trauma counselling in the Sutherland Shire, support for anxiety or depression, child and adolescent counselling, men's mental health counselling or online therapy, Interpersonal Therapy offers a safe, respectful and supportive environment to help you move towards healing, resilience and meaningful change.
Counselling with me is confidential, kind, and non-judgmental. I provide a safe space where you can talk openly about your experiences and goals.
Therapy with me is practical, collaborative and focused on helping you develop the skills and confidence needed to achieve lasting change.
I use evidence-based therapies that are Medicare-approved and backed by decades of research. I have particular experience supporting people who have experienced trauma or re-traumatisation from past care.
I completed my Bachelor of Social Work (Honours) at The University of Sydney in 2006 and have nearly 20 years of clinical experience working in frontline mental health services, I have been in private practice for two years.
If attending appointments in person is difficult, Interpersonal Therapy offers secure and confidential Telehealth counselling sessions that allow you to access professional support from the comfort of your own home. Online counselling is available to clients throughout the Sutherland Shire, Sydney and across Australia, providing flexible access to therapy regardless of location or personal circumstances.
Many clients find that Telehealth offers the same level of connection, support and therapeutic benefit as face-to-face counselling. Anthony is experienced in delivering EMDR therapy online, as well as evidence-based counselling for trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, men's mental health concerns and life transitions. Whether you are balancing work and family commitments, living in a regional area, or simply prefer the convenience of online sessions, Telehealth can provide an effective and accessible pathway to support and recovery.
Medicare rebates may be available for eligible clients referred under a Mental Health Treatment Plan, making professional counselling and EMDR therapy more accessible wherever you are located.
